So 2 years ago I first traveled to Osaka,Japan. Where I fell deeper in love with the Japanese culture, people and sites.

2006- My first mission trip to Osaka,Japan. The home of my great grandfather, before leaving to move his family to Tokyo. It was nice going to Osaka first because it shocked me to have entered the airport that was dead silent and staying to the right if you’re just gonna ride the escalator and go left if you’re walking up the the escalator. Ha ha ha ha (*^.^*). In 2006 I think the hardest thing to get use to was the time difference, language wasn’t to bad, most foods were great, love catching train, but hate the busy hours at the train station. I loved spring camp, it was the first inter action I had with kids my age,Jr. high and college. Off the bat my best friends are Aina,Saiyuri,Ruka,Reika,Kiyoka,Kana & Yoko. The year before when my mom went up on a mission she met these girls and the Hawaii team called them the ‘Hilton’ girls. LOL. Well they weren’t the only friends I made, I also met another girl named, Martha. Of course most people (even our team) was surprised to see this white girl there at camp, but to me I don’t judge a book by it’s cover. So I made friends with Martha and since 2006 we still keep in touch.Oh and the youth team members from Hawaii all prayed at camp that it would snow and it did! It was awesome.

After Camp we went to YWAM (Youth With A Mission) to stay while we visited our sister church, New Hope Osaka. There is where I met Aunty Naomi, Uncle Joseph & Little Zachary, hanging out with them was amazing and I call them my 2nd family. I admired them for what they did for their calling to go out to Japan and leave everything they had behind. I remember Aunty Naomi saying that they had a costco in Japan but their big or large was like an american medium. Aunty Naomi came with us a lot and when uncle Joseph came with us it was even better. Where YWAM is located I became familiar with it. From the path out of the housing area to passing the gym or school and admiring the sakura trees that lines the outside of the gates, all the way to the train station. It’s amazing how much detail i remember like the back of my hand. The trip in 2006 was amazing and it added to my fire of wanting to travel.
